Jinney Ring Craft Centre
A fresh look for the new year! January 2026 Just after Christmas, I set up my new display at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre. As 2026 begins, the centre will run slightly differently: The old restaurant has now become the 'Art Cafe' and showcases handmade goods, vintage clothes and local artists' work - including my own! You'll find my work in the conservatory area, with one-off originals, limited-edition prints and greetings cards available to view and purchase. The Art Cafe is

A new era...
St. Peter's C of E Academy Mural July, 2025 It has been 11 years since I last painted a mural for St. Peter's C of E Academy and a few things have changed since then! The school commissioned me to create a large mural based on their new mission statement "God Chooses Ordinary People to Do Extraordinary Things". It depicts the children holding up the words with St. Peter's School on the left and St. Peter's Church on the right. The children visit the Church throughout the year

A New Hub
Droitwich Arts Network - The Hub 2023 As part of Droitwich Arts Network, I helped set up our new Community Hub, now located St Andrews Square, Droitwich, between Holland & Barrett and Quality Crust Bakehouse. It is a community space. If people are shopping or just walking through Droitwich, they can come in, sit down, and relax. They can browse the books and magazines, and look at the artwork. We have used this venue to host a variety of events such as Dabble Days, where the

Droitwich Spa Railway Station
2023 I am very thankful to 'Friends of Droitwich Spa Railway Station' for giving me the oportunity to have one of my paintings installed at the station. You can find it on the building on the Worcester side (in the bricked up windows). Many people have commented on 'Lord of the Manor' and like saying it as they arrive and leave the station. They also commissioned me to create a 'wonky' Town Map which is displayed on the side of the ticket office with two smaller versions in t

First Festival during Covid
Salt Fest September, 2020 In September the town held a COVID safe festival on a smaller scale. It was wonderful to see customers again. Masks and social distancing were in place. Numbers were limited with stewards on duty to keep an eye on all entrances. Picnic tables were adorned with wipe and disinfectant for the public to use. It was a great weekend and very successful.

Wonky Droitwich Returns!
May, 2018 Rosie Philpott first burst onto the local art scene in 2012 with her ‘Wonky Droitwich’ painting, depicting Droitwich Spa’s High Street in a quirky style. Since then the original and a limited number of 250 prints have completely sold out and fans of Rosie’s work have been requesting another version! The new painting, “Wonky Droitwich 1938” sets the familiar view of the wobbly High Street in the year 1938, bringing a vintage twist to the original. Rosie explains “I h

Salt King 200
Salt King 200 June, 2017 Salt King 200 was a great success! Attracting approximately 2000 guests, John Corbett's 200th birthday celebration picnic in the grounds of the Chateau Impney was certainly an event to behold. When the rain poured down at 11am that morning, many of us wondered what we had done. But the British spirit didn't fail us! The sun came out and hoards of people could be seen walking towards us laden with deckchairs, picnic hampers and outdoor games. The pic

Mural
Mural for St. Peter's First School May, 2014 My old Primary School, St. Peter's CEVA First School, commissioned me to produce a mural to hang in their hall using their motto "We Care, We Share, We tell the Truth". My design shows the children holding up the words, starting at the school and leading to St. Peter's Church which is just down the road. The school is connected with this Church and the children often make the short walk to services, as indeed I did during my time

My Studio
I no longer work in my bedroom! June, 2013 After a couple of years of being self-employed and starting my own business, I have somew hat outgrown my childhood bedroom. Paints were everywhere and frames were taking over the house! I have now moved into my new Studio in the garden which is absolutely fantastic. We have nicknamed it my 'shed studio' because it's really a posh shed but I couldn't be happier. Now I have a brilliant space to work with excellent light and a lovely

TV Appearance
'Paul Martin's Handmade Revolution' August, 2012 Paul Martin (Presenter of 'Flog it') was filming his new series 'Paul Martin's Handmade Revolution' at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre. People were welcome to come and bring their crafts to show off. As soon as I arrived he saw me from afar and beckoned me over. He absolutely loved my paintings, including "Wonky Droitwich", and said we must get it on camera. Meeting Paul Martin Filming I ended up spending 25 minutes being intervi

Where it all began...
The Salvation Army February, 2012 I held my first art exhibition since graduating in February 2012 at the Salvation Army in Droitwich Spa. The admission and 10% of all items sold went towards the Building Fund. Wonky Droitwich This was the first time I displayed 'Wonky Droitwich', a wonky depitction of Droitich Spa High Street. It caused quite a stir! I left a blank page underneath asking people to leave their names if they would be interested in prints - 35 people left their
